Lates, --K Kevin Anderson Alert Baseline Operator From the Desk of Pete: A new precedent has been set for all co-op students. On thursday I won 2nd place in the weekly 8-ball tournament, something which even Kevin himself has not been able to do. My secret? Concentrate and let the better players scratch on the 8. In news other than winning pool tournaments, i've been counting down the days until the official sunrise on the 28th. I don't know if it's my unbounded optimism or the planetary mechanics which govern our solar system, but the days just keep on getting brighter and brighter. Soon i'll finally have a chance to see the terrain around me (which apparently is quite stunning). Cheers! -Pete Celine's two cents worth... The twilight has begun. We can now see the horizon lines, mountains, the icebergs on the Atlantic. It's gorgeous!! I've been touring the GAW lab with some staff who are leaving soon. They are all very interested in our activites, but mostly, getting a ride in the truck. :) The fire chief (Smokey) has been through the GAW lab and the TX building, to inspect the cylinders, fire/smoke alarms, and emergency exits. He will be providing us with new fire extinguishers. WE also had a quick visit for the heating system. It was a good week for Pete and I, still learning every day! Michelle arrives this week, for 1 week, umm.. possibly 2 weeks. The HERC flight was cancelled last week. Not enough to go around apparently.
