Click on OK to terminate the application." I clicked OK, but could not close the error message box. I restarted the computer at 1442z. TRANSPORTATION Fuel Consumption: 469 L in March. Ford (Nuuk) We really need a new belt for the Ford - the one in it right now is very frayed and keeps hitting the radiator hose everytime the truck is running. I think the Ford should be driven at a bare minimum until a new belt is installed. Truck requires a new latch for the hood - it is very difficult to open the hood right now, and it does not close properly. O.K. The truck broke down (again) on 097j on our way back from the lab. The same "symptoms" were seen; we were driving along and the truck seemed to just start losing power. We tried to high-idle it for a minute, but the RPMs fell to zero and the truck shut down and would not restart. The truck was towed to maintenance, where it is currently being inspected by DND mechanics. New treads for front tracks have arrived in Alert! Need: Complete new set of Mattrack black linkage pieces. Last Oil and Filter change: May 13, 2003. Standard Military inspection on Jul 30, 2002. GMC (EC Rider) The tires have now been put back on the GMC and the road was plowed by Alert Transport section all the way to the TX building. O.K. Franken-Truck Both trucks sitting beside the hydrogen shed. Rad Flushed: Aug 25th, 2002 Oil Changed: Aug 25th, 2002 Fluids checked: Jan 15th, 2003 Greased: Aug 25th, 2002 BUILDINGS O.K. Sure enough, the Herc carrying the Padre (who, let me remind all of you, just happens to be a General) showed up right on time this week. Funny how that works out, isn't it? At any rate, little Petey is gone now, and I'm once again on my own - for a while, anyway. I'm expecting quite a number of visitors this month - so it should be quite a good civilian party up here... er, I mean quite a lot of civilian work getting done this month. On the weather front, things are starting to get warmer up here. I think we've even broken the -20 barrier once or twice. Somewhere between -25 and -30 has been pretty usual over the past week or so. I'm sure that sounds very cold (and let's not kid ourselves, it IS very cold), but it's a big improvement over -35 or 40. But along with our balmy temperatures, we seem to be getting an onslaught of snowstorms lately. There was supposed to be a rec trip out to the crash site today (the one that was postponed from last weekend), but it's been cancelled again because you probably wouldn't be able to see much of the site today. I guess we're starting to catch up with all the snow we didn't get over the winter. Lates, --K Kevin Anderson Alert Baseline Operator
