That's right, after about 11 months, I have finally pieced together enough (good) players to get something going up in the music room. This was one of my major achievements of my last tour as co-op student here (in 2001, for those who may not remember :-), but it has been rather elusive throughout my course as operator. We've been rehearsing a couple of times a week since the end of May, and we're preparing for our first big gig at the Canada Day party up here. I'm not sure about this, but I've been hearing some rumours that the military brass have caught wind of our upcoming performance, and may be Herc-ing up some record executives to hear us play. Again, that's just a rumour for right now. Also, we don't have a name picked out quite yet, so if any of you have any suggestions... Oh yeah, and there's a new update on kevinanderson.ca today, too! PS - Maria should be here by the time that the next weekly report rolls around, but I'm still going to lay claim to top-billing in the weekly news section for a little while yet! That's all for now. Lates, --K Kevin Anderson Alert Baseline Operator Hi, The sky is a clear bright blue, and the weather has been lovely lately. The snow seems to be melting very fast, and we spot more wildlife every day. I have started to go jogging ouside now that it is not too cold, which is much preferrable to running on the treadmill. Kevin and I are still going to the gym at 6am and playing a lot of badminton. I decided we needed a fun activitiy just for girls, so I started to teach Egyptian bellydancing lessons on Wednesday nights. The girls seem to like it so far, and may even do a performance on Canada day. bye for now Wendy Frise Assistant Baseline Operator
