AEROSOL PROGRAM *Water leak found on aerosol stack inside of the new lab on 203j at 1330z. The counter below the PSAP was wet and the water was wiped up immediatley. Kimwipes were placed underneath the stack to catch any water droplets. The water and ice-build up outside of the stack on tower was swept away. The stack continued to leak water all week but was able to be soaked up by the kimwipes. The stack was still leaking on 205j but looked to be slowing down and all water and ice outside of stack on tower is now evaporated.* Aethalometer 1 DND burn (wood and cardboard) on 205j from 1330z - 1630z. The bright side of that is that Maria is becomming more and more independant GAW lab operatoresque each week! Of course, I attribute that to the fact that she had the greatest teacher ever! I'm trying to teach her about modesty too, but that doesn't seem to be working. Come to think of it, I don't really have too much news to pass on this week. I've spent most of the past few days packing up all of my stuff to ship back (and let me tell you, that's not a whole lot of fun!). The girls (and Myles) have been doing a few small hikes, but I'm more of a fair-weather hiker, so I haven't gone. Now I have to spend the next two weeks handing over all of my other "duties" like the trivia show, bartending, bingo calling, and bagpiping - although that last one will prove the toughest. That's all for now. Lates, --K Kevin Anderson Alert Baseline Operator Hello everyone, This week has been busy with Celine and Myles arriving on Wednesday. The weather hasn't been great, but we managed to get out for a few walks over the week. There are still rumours of musk ox in the area, so I still have some hopes of spotting a few. Saturday night there was another bonfire down near the quarry. It was raining so we all felt a little wet by the end of the night, but it was still a nice change from the usual house scene. Well, I'll let the others get on an write their updates, so until next week, Take care, Maria Maria Vavro Alert Baseline Operator (In Training) Good day We were all relieved on Wednesday when Celine and Myles finally arrived safely as it was quite foggy the day their plane landed. It appeared that the plane was coming in on a dangerous angle, until it straightened out at the last moment before it hit the runway. I'm sure they were holding their breath on the plane even more than we were watching them land. We went out on a hike yesterday in hopes of seeing Muscox, but unfortunately did not come across any. I looked at the calendar this morning and I can't believe that I've been here almost 3 months - time flies! bye for now p.s. the fish would like to wish you all a happy July 26 and have asked me to pass on their greetings Wendy Frise Assistant Baseline Operator
