This week was fairly quiet apart for HOC having a grand re-opening party on Saturday night. Quite a few new people have arrived on the station the past few weeks and you can see the vibe changing in each of the houses. I'm sure by the end of my tour here, I'll have seen the ups and downs of all the houses. I'm enjoying the vibe right now though because the atmosphere is a much more intimate one with most people mingling between the houses. Basically, I've just been keeping busy with my regular schedule here and I've been trying to work out more. Chad and I are going to start trying to play pool more often so I can attempt to be a pool shark once the club picks up again. There has also been more requests for lab tours, so I'll probably arrange an afternoon to take a few people out and explain what we do there. This week I'm planning to go out with H20 to see his duties at the water plant and how he takes his water samples, which I'm pretty interested about. I'm trying to take advantage as much as possible of what other people's jobs are here. I guess that's it for now. The plane that was supposed to arrive last week has been stuck in Thule and is due in tomorrow. Apparently, there going to start having charter planes do the flights into Alert again soon since it seems that the HERCs need to have some major repairs done to them. Take care, Maria Maria Vavro Alert Baseline Operator Good day everyone. Well this week was a less hectic than the other, no mug ins or any other big changes. I've started working out a bit, but I don't know how long that will last considering I'm lazy. The job is getting more clear, and I am trying to understand some of the science behind since I have to write a tech report for next semester at school. I'm thinking of doing it on ozone. So if anyone has an old report they want to give me, I will be accepting them -jk! Chad Guertin Chad Guertin, Assistant Baseline Operator
