It was a fairly non-eventful week (at least compared to the previous week) and the conversations were mainly of whether the plane was actually going to make the trip up to Alert. The poor folks last week travelled all around the Arctic just to return to Trenton to catch the flight this past Tuesday. It was good news when the flight did arrive on Thursday with Frank making it in one piece. Frank will be working at the lab with me for the next 6 months and will actually be completing his masters research on mercury fluxes in the arctic while he's here. We got along right away and we've found that we have alot in common, mainly because we are both from the University of Guelph and know some of the same people/profs and basically have much of the same lifestyle. Anyways, probably more exciting news next weekend. I'll be watching Frank mug-in to HOC tonight, so that should be some fun! Talk to everyone later, Maria Maria Vavro Alert Baseline Operator
