He'll be here throughout February as a replacement for my holidays. So far this week's plane is on it's typical schedule- late. Ah well, that's Alert for you- hurry up and wait. Hopefully some point this week, I'll get back to civilization, if not then I'll be sitting here writing to you all again next week! Looks like weather isn't much better at home than it is here- should be good for some skiing. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and talk to you later, Maria Vavro Alert Baseline Operator Good Morning, After their long awaited arrival, both Tim and John landed in Alert this past week. John and I have made great headway with my setup at the SST and within the next few days the study should be underway. The coop job is becoming pretty much routine at this point so hopefully everything continues to operate smoothly. As for life on the station, the good times are still rolling. That's all for this week and I'll talk to you soon. Frank Cobbett Alert Assistant Baseline Operator After 2.5 days in Trenton I'm back in Alert. I know it's hard to convey excitement in ASCII, but you'll have to take my word for it that I'm VERY VERY excited to be back. The station and the lab are pretty much the same as they were when I left, except the guys at NOAA were nice enough to install a tree fort behind the lab. They say it's for instrumentation, but I don't believe them. Right now we're at storm condition 1, which sounds pretty bad but really isn't. OK, that's it for now. You'll be hearing more from me over the next few weeks. Tim Christie Alert temp
