I'd have to say that the length of my break was just about perfect and it allowed me to do almost everything that I wanted to. I was lucky enough to go to Cuba the week before heading back up here and I felt a little evil showing up with tan making everyone jealous when I arrived! Tim and Frank managed to get out last night after a few days delay. The Canadian Airforce seems to be in a sad state. We had two broken Hercs on the airfield after my flight landed with two blown tires. A repair plane flew up yesterday to bring parts and take back passengers, but upon landing we all heard the crash alarm sound! Thank God, there wasn't a crash, but apparently the emergency was that the whole belly of the plane had filled up with thick black smoke. Anyway, after inspection, they found the oil cap had blown off and it was safe to head back to Trenton. Anyway, I'm glad to be back. It seems that about half the station is new personnel, so I'm trying to get to know everyone this weekend. Also, it's great being back now that there is daylight. Now all we need is for it to get about 65' warmer and it would be tanning weather! I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Maria Vavro
