Richard and Stoyka arrived on Tuesday night and we're lucky to be getting fairly nice weather this week too. On the night they arrived, a few of the guys who had formed a band together, performed a little concert in the Arctic Club and had the best turnout I've seen for awhile. HOC had a costume party last night and there were definitley some interesting outfits around! I dressed up in my 80's aerobics gear (yes, I've dressed up in this before, but hey, it's the only costume I have here!) and it was alot of fun and something different than our normal Friday night meetings and mug-ins. After strong winds off of Greenland, the crew here preparing for Iceshelf, abandoned the project after all their tents but one blew away in a storm. Jim and Kevin are still in Alert trying to figure out what to do next. That's it for this week, Hope all is well in Downsview, Maria Maria Vavro GAW Lab Operator
