Friday night there were all the regular house mug-ins and meetings. At TGIF, I ended up being pretty embarrassed after they presented me with a cake for my one year anniversary of living in Alert. Because I was so surprised, my face turned beat red and all I could mutter was "no speech" and ring the bell. I mean, of course I told everyone throughout the week- there was no way I was going to let it go by unnoticed, I just wasn't expecting that. It's strange to think that in two weeks I'll be saying goodbye to Frank at TGIF. I'm thinking about going over to the wood hobby shop and making him some type of award- a funny one of course. HUT53 hosted a country and western party on Saturday night and I'm just thankful that they didn't play country music all night... however, the karaoke did break out at the end and I took that as my cue to go to bed. Tom and Mike are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so I'm hoping for some blue sky, sunny weather, which it is today. The temperature is actually just over 3'C today and the wind isn't too chilly. Hopefully it will stay this way! That's it for now... Hope all is well in Downsview, Maria Maria Vavro GAW Lab Operator
