Maria and I spent most of the week going over last minute thing for our handover. We had our first crash alarm of my tour on Thursday. A herc called ahead with landing gear problem on its way to Thule, but couldn't land there because of zero visibility. Thankfully the landing gear was stuck in the lowered position and everything turned out OK, but I think the aircraft is still sitting on the runway awaiting repair. Winter came too this week. When everyone woke up to the crash alarm, they also woke up to around three inches of snow that had fallen overnight. It's really nice because it's keeping the dust down, but it's going to make working outside a bit more annoying. Maria should be out of here on Wednesday so from now on any e-mails can be directed to me, and I'll try to respond as quickly as possible.
