SHIPPING Shipping Received: Shipping Sent: - One crate being prepared, not sent yet MAIL Mail Received: 11/10/06 - 6 Toxic cases - 1 Box with Kimwipes - 1 Box with PUF filters Mail Sent: Alert Weekly News The focus of the week was with the Mercury instruments. Between Tekran calibrations and training Sandy, Patrick, Gabe and I found some spare time on the Tuesday afternoon to do an iceberg expedition deep into the frozen Lincoln Sea. It was quite an experience to be able to walk about 100 feet off shore and climb the blue ice tips. Wednesday morning Sandy and Patrick departed Alert and work went back to normal one more time, but not for long. Thursday we got our first "snow white out" with visibility of about 10m. and about 80 km/hr winds. Gabe and I felt it was our duty to go to the lab and make sure everything was secure from the wind storm; or so it was our excuse to experience our next adventure (safety first of course).
