Monday August 6, 2007 - Sunday August 12, 2007 Prepared: Sunday August 12, 2007 ***********Highlights of the Week*************** *221j - Power at lab shut down from 1230z to 1400z to fix main power cable running to lab - Backhoe working near lab from 1220z to 1350z for cable repair - Backhoe also used during this time (1230z to 1350z) to dig holes (~250 to ~350 m from the lab) so that soil samples could be taken by Environment Canada to investigate potential ground contamination. AEROSOL PROGRAM *221j - Aerosol computer entered sleep mode during power outage (1230z - 1400z) and did not appear to be collecting data. - The computer was rebooted @ 1524z but would not start CPD automatically and reported an error when attempting to open the program manually. - The computer was rebooted a 2nd time @ 1745z and appeared to be working fine afterwards. Aethalometer 1 *221j - Aethalometer datalogger lost program during power outage (1230z - 1400z), the program ALTAER.DLD was sent to the logger @ 1900z. Last blank on day 211j, 2007. O.K. CH4/CO2/N2O/SF6/CO GC *221j - GC computer was broken (will not even turn on) during power outage (1230z - 1400z). *221j - Two drives and two cards were swapped from broken GC computer into spare PC being stored in the server room and new computer was started @ 1427z. - Hydrogen generator was reset to produce H2 @ 1526z. He seems happy to be leaving but will no doubt miss this place and will be missed in turn.
