AEROSOL PROGRAM *240j - Aerosol datalogger was found to have lost its program (estimated to have occured @ ~1030z). Program was downloaded to datalogger @ 1300z. - Aerosol datalogger date and clock were not in sync with the server, this was corrected @ 1708z. *243j - Aerosol datalogger lost its program again. Program resent and clock reset @ 1226z. Aethalometer 1 O.K. PSAP Program O.K. Nephelometer *240j - Neph. turned off and back on @ 1807z, span then performed but still resulted in ~60% error. - The instrument was shut down and the small front panel and top PMT cover opened @ 1853z. PMTs and any circuit board connections were tighetened. A span was then repeated but again the error was ~60%. - Neph. shut down again again 1955z and the full side panel slid part way off so that circuit panels and connections could be pushed in. The instrument was then restarted and a 3rd span performed but the results did not improve. O.K. Black carbon filter pack O.K. CNC Counter O.K. Alert High Volume Sampler. O.K. PAN GC *240j - PAN GC discharge light was blinking, likely occured after power outage that morning. Instrument turned off and back on @ 1741z. *243j - Helium tank change @ 1840z: tank off: QMPAN004 pres off: 250 psi tank on: QMPAN001 pres on: 2100 psi O.K. CH4/CO2/N2O/SF6/CO GC *242j - GC sample line pump turned off momentarily @ 2000z to switch moisture trap. *243j - GC computer displaying message "Instrument power on/off detected. Please restart session to reconnect". Instrument #1 software was closed and reopened @ 1724z. Could not restart FID. O.K. CFC 11, 12, 13 GC O.K. (malfunctioning pump, cause unknown: mass flow controller, flow restriction?) Ambient air (012): *238j - 012 placed in idle mode for cartridge burn @ 1931z. Full calibration was then run @ 1936z and instrument placed back on sampling mode @ 2012z. *242j - 012 switched to idle mode for the following tank change @ 1345z: tank off: steel ultra-zero (for GC) pres off: ~ 100 psi tank on: steel zero air (for Hg) pres on: 2450 psi - instrument back on @ 1735z O.K. RGM Unit, 1130 0016, 2537A (040): *238j - 040 placed in idle mode @ 1953z for the following changes: - denuder - RPF - impactor frit - zero air filter - quartz filter - All heating and zero air on @ 2012z. Heating off and cooling on @ 2027z. All switches back to auto and sampling resumed @ 2039z. *239j - 040 pump was unusually loud so the instrument was placed in idle mode @ 1325z. Sample volumes since last glassware change were all low. Upon further investigation, the impactor frit holder had been installed upside down and was restricting airflow. This was corrected and the 040 set back to sampling @ 1450z. *243j - 040 placed in idle mode for cartdrige burn @ 2017z. Burn was performed on both cartridges and instrument back on continuous sampling @ 2023z. O.K. DENUDER INVENTORY = 3 case(s), 2 tube(s): 7 denuder. O.K. Inventory: 30 bottle(s), 60 week(s) Radon Monitor Last filter change: Day 211j O.K. DOAS System *240j - DOAS was reading low intensities, auto-aquisition was stopped and restarted @ 1736z to correct this. *242j - DOAS was found not in auto-aquisition mode (possibly forgot to restart it after last calibration). Auto-aquistion was restarted @ 1345z. - DOAS comp & instruments shut off @ 1857z in order to reset detector cooler which was not working correctly. Upon restarting computer, software had trouble recognizing Ocean Optics and computer frequently froze and needed to be restarted. Offline. IGLOOLIK Sampler O.K. NOAA SEARCH O.K.
