PAN GC -Offline, due to lack of He Juice Jug Inlet O.K. CH4/CO2/CO GC *105j - H2 generator for GC found beeping and surrounded by a puddle of water. The rate at which the water on the floor evaporated througout the day indicates the leak likely started that morning. - H2 generator output pressure dropping so generator shut off @ 1450z. - H2 cylinder closed momentarily from GC while H2 generator detached from system for troubleshooting. Tank hooked back up and back detector flame re- ignited @ 1702z. *108j - Discovered back-up N2 tank pressure had dropped considerably. Small leak detected between outlet of N2 generator and T-connector where the line meets the N2 tank. Swadgelok fitting replaced. N2 off from ~1620z to 1644z while repair done. - H2 cylinder change @ 1647z: pres off: 175 psi pres on: 2325 psi - Flame for back detector re-ignited @ 1722z, after H2 tank change. - Noticed H2 tank pressure was dropping quickly. Leak detecter in regulator and corrected @ ~2030z. O.K. *New hydrogen generator malfunctioning, likely leaky water pump. CFC 11, 12, 13 GC *107j - CFC GC sample pump found stopped. Restarted by giving shaft a manual push @ 1234z. O.K. Complete Gas Tank Inventory - last full (truly reliable) update: 092j, 2008 Pump Room (Storage) - Nitrogen: 2 steel tanks - Argon: 5 aluminum tanks, 12 steel tanks - Ultra Zero Air: 0, 1 steel-empty (used for Hg ( ~100psi left)) - Hydrogen: 0 - He: 0 steel, 0 aluminum - CO2: 1 aluminum tank, 1 aluminum for Neph., 3 CO2 aluminum tanks for NDIR - HeXe: 0 - 3 empty aluminum tanks ( 1 regular, 2 small) to be filled with air by Larry. - 6890 WH (for GC): 1 aluminum tank Pump Room (in use or connected as spares) - Nitrogen: 1 steel (in use) - Ultra Zero Air: 1 steel, 1 steel ( not in use) - Hydrogen: 1 steel (not in use) - P-5: 0 - Argon: 1 steel (in use) - CO2: 1 aluminum ( in use for Nephelometer) (empty?) - 1 CFC WH aluminum tank - 1 6890 WH aluminum tank (empty?) - 1 6890 T aluminum tank Old Lab (PAN GC Tanks) - Zero Air: 2 steel tanks (not in use = spares) - Nitrogen: 2 steel tanks (not in use= spares) - NO: 1 aluminum tank - He: 1 steel tank ( in use) - HeXe: 1 large (light blue) steel tank Red Storage Shed - Hydrogen: 7 steel tanks - Zero Air: 4 steel tanks Lab Vestibule - Nothing Office (recently received full cylinders) - 5 argon steel tanks (in crate) Office (loading dock, for shipping or disposal) - 5 aluminum Argon tanks - 1 steel Argon tank - 1 aluminum CO2 (Neph) - full & unused - 1 aluminum compressed gases (N.O.S) - 1 large aluminum compressed air - 1600psi for Greg? - 1 steel tank of Helium for disposal or shipping? MERCURY PROGRAM *108j - 007 and 040 switched to idle mode @ 1625z for argon tank change: tank off: steel tank on: AES 715 pres off: 200 psi pres on: 2175 psi - instruments back sampling @ 1647z Ambient air (007): O.K Ambient air (012): O.K. RGM Unit, 1130 0016, 2537A (040): *105j - 040 set to idle @ 1332z as 1130 pump was loud & not sustaining a 9 lpm flow. Has most trouble pulling 9 lpm while set to zero air. Possible problem with diaphragm. *107j - Diaphragm swapped in 1130 pump for 040 instrument. Tested by running on zero air and 9 lpm flow while 040 in idle mode. - The following changes were performed while 040 in idle mode: - RPF (A on, D off) - denuder - impactor frit flip - quartz filter - teflon zero filter - All heating & zero air on @ 1425z. - Heating off & cooling on @ 1456z. - All switches to auto and set to continuous sampling @ 1511z - Instrument reading a little (relative to 007) after being turned back on.
