Computer restarted @ 2019z. Loss of comms with 6890 GC. GC restarted and comms restored. Flame re-ignited after GC started back up @ ~2030z. *143j - compressor, air generator and N2 generator switched off, and N2 backup tank closed while N2 generator was replaced @ 1626z. - T-connector between GCs, N2 tank and N2 generator replaced with union. Tank reconnected to GC and opened @ 1716z. - Backup N2 generator hooked up though outlet line not attached to test if instrument works. - compressor, air generator and N2 generator all switched back on @ 1732z. - back detector flame re-ignited @ 1821z. *144j - GC ambient pump turned off momentarily @ 1433z for moisture trap change. *145j - compressor, air generator and N2 generator switched off, and N2 backup tank closed @ 1829z to re-arrange equipment. *146j - compressor, air generator and N2 generator switched back on after re-arranging equipment @ ~1940z. System was leak checked. Leak detected at inlet to compressor receiver tank that was not corrected. All other lines free of leaks. - N2 tank connected to GCs at 1950z while N2 generator warms up. - back detector flame re-ignited @ ~2010z. *setup of air generator, N2 generator and compressor re-arranged. Tubing setup more securely. *New hydrogen generator malfunctioning, likely leaky water pump. Packed up to be shipped South. O.K. CFC 11, 12, 13 GC *142j - CFC pump found stopped. Gave shaft a push to get it going @ 1517z. O.K. MERCURY PROGRAM Ambient air (007): *141j - 007 instrument found reading low with M2 and M3 flags and high baseline deviation previous day. Appears to have corrected itself after calibration @ ~2030 (140j). *143j - 007 lamp voltage @ 9.30 V and baseline dev. reading high. Instrument turned off @ 1348z for lamp change. - instrument on continuous sampling @ 1425z for lamp position optimization. - injection port septum changed @ 1513 (to attempt to correct high zero problem). - instrument on continuous sampling @ 1515z to warm up lamp. - offset reduced to ~0.1 from ~0.26 @ 1729. - sampling time set to 5 mins (had reverted to 30 min samples after instrument being turned off for lamp change). - could not adjust lamp voltage, adjustment screw has no effect. Lamp voltage @ ~ 15.4 V. - full calibration run @ 1732z then set to continuous sampling @ 1810z. *146j - 007 power switched off @ 1723z to see if loss of power will reset lamp voltage. Instrument back on @ 1750z, lamp voltage unaffected. *zeros reading high occasionally *cannot reduce lamp voltage O.K Ambient air (012): O.K.
