Hi Dan The mark is north, or in your case, should be the bow. If your module had a compass in it and you want to disable it, you can unplug the cable inside between the compass board and the front end interface board (the small board). I'm not sure you can shut the compass off by talking to the module... I guess I've only ever just unplugged the compasses. In any event, with the mark filed into the top endcap pointing towards the bow, and the prop over the mark, you should see 180. As in the wind is going to the "south" or stern in your case. Command-wise, UOK is only needed if you are entering the menu. Send #WND01C to get the calculated value. Vane direction will be the 6th column. If you want the module to stream raw values (test mode), send #WND01T. (neither command needs a , and the T command can be aborted by hitting ) With the T command, column 3 is vane + compass, column 4 is just vane, and column 5 is just compass. The compass will report 360 if it is not present or not connected. Does that help at all? Jason Jason C Smith
