RICO ScanPlot Programs 2006/07/07 Carroll Campbell NOAA/Earth System Research Laboratory Physical Sciences Division Boulder, Colorado This directory contains IDL programs to process data from the NOAA/K radar, which participated in the RICO 2005 experiment. There are four programs, all written in IDL, which is available from Research Systems, Inc., Boulder, Colorado. (See http://www.rsinc.com/) These programs were developed using IDL 6.2. To modify and run the source code, you will have to have a licensed copy of IDL. However, RSI makes available for free a product called the IDL Virtual Machine that may be used to run the included *.sav files. (See http://www.rsinc.com/download/download.asp) This product is available for several different computers and operating systems. After installing the IDL Virtual Machine, the programs can be run by dragging the icon of their *.sav file onto the IDL VM icon. More information on the programs may be found in the Word document NOAA-K-Radar-Rico TM.pdf, which is available on this site. Also included in this folder is a sample of radar data and the files that were produced from running the programs included here. Source code for the four programs is included in the appropriate subdirectories. ------------------
